ANGLICAN CENTRE
“. . . I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages…”
Revelation 7:9
The building was designed and constructed with a view to maximising space and accommodating as many Christian congregations as possible. It began serving the many Protestant Christian communities in 2013.
Today the Anglican Centre is the spiritual home for more than 85 Christian congregations and groups who worship in Qatar and includes between 18,000 - 25,000 worshipers from 65 countries in over 150 different worship services every weekend.
In addition to the sanctuary and chapel that is used by the Church of the Epiphany, the Anglican Centre has 26 different worship spaces, which are also used throughout the week. The Anglican Centre is run by a dedicated staff.
The Anglican Centre is a ministry of hospitality of the Church of the Epiphany, the Anglican Church in Qatar.
It was built with the kind permission of His Highness The Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, who authorized the leasing of land for the country’s first Christian communities since the seventh century.
