GIVE

“Gratitude is the mother of all virtues.”

   G.K. Chesterton

why we give?

Our church provides a variety of opportunities to grow in faith and deepen our life with God and each other.  All of us are invited to give to God's work in the world out of gratitude for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us.  As Christians, we recognize everything we have comes from God, and we are simply sharing these gifts for God’s Kingdom work.  Through our giving we demonstrate in a tangible way our love for God and our neighbors.

Giving makes possible: all our worship services, programs for children and students, Bible studies, classes, small groups, pastoral care and support, outreach, our ministry to the needy and to the world.

how we give?

We hope that every person attending the Church of the Epiphany will give according to their means.  Each year, we ask those attending our church to plan their giving (i.e. pledging) for the coming year in support of our church's ministry and mission.

There are other opportunities to give, as well, through memorial or one-time gifts, and to special projects.  However annual pledge giving is important for the church as it allows the church council to plan wisely for our ministries.  If you give, but do not fill out a pledge form, please know that we appreciate your generosity. Unless you fill out a pledge form, however, the church council is not able to make plans for our ministries and to sustain the church throughout the year.

Every pledge counts.  Just click on one or more of the more sections below.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration and for your generosity.

an approach to giving

Begin with prayer. Thank God for your blessings and ask for guidance and discernment.

Assess your income and giving. Determine your current giving as a percentage of your income.

Set your giving goal.  For example, consider tithing (the Biblical standard of 10 percent of your income).  However, the important thing is to begin the spiritual discipline of regular, consistent giving.

Determine your giving method. Take a look at the ways you can give and select the option that is best for both you.

Worship with gratitude. Fill out your 2020 annual pledge commitment card and bring it in to worship this month, complete it online or sent it into the Honorary Church Treasurer via email.  As a congregation, we will express our gratitude to God and present our pledge cards, representing our commitment to God’s ministry through our church.
